From a family home to a home unit

Lorraine and her team helped me to move my elderly mother from her family home of 50 years to a small unit. I found Lorraine and Malcolm to be so kind and considerate in helping Mum. They wanted to take all the stresses out of moving and ensured Mum that everything had been taken care of. Nothing was too hard and their team behind them were always professional and courteous and punctual which means a lot when you are moving. Although my mum was able to cope with downsizing and reducing the amount of things she could take to her unit, she still had far too much furniture and belongings for her to be comfortable in her new home.

Mum has been in her unit for over 12 months now and we are still taking boxes to various charities. I believe if we had taken Lorraine's advice on downsizing it would have been a fantastic help to Mum. She could have used the storage option and reassessed her situation once she had moved in rather than living with a second bedroom that was overflowing with furniture and boxes of things that she was never really going to use. There are some people who have no one to help them at all and some people with children who live incredibly busy lives. I believe if these people use this advisory service from Lorraine and her team they will not be disappointed as they are so sympathetic to peoples' needs and understand what it is like to downsize elderly people.

Lorraine and her team have an independent view so there are no emotions attached to certain belongings but with their help and experience they can tell people if they really will need to take certain belongings to their new home. At the end of the day their priority was my Mum and her needs and they were always there to reassure her and make her feel at ease. I am more than happy to talk to any future clients as a reference as I really can't speak more highly of their service.
